Selected Radetec projects / Lateral flow

Three challenges.
One versatile platform.

Our in-house lateral flow projects span STI detection, COVID-19 antigen testing and multiplex fluorescent readouts. Each project asked a different question about assay format, signal and the path from chemistry to a usable prototype.

01 / STI detection

Exploring rapid STI test formats

We worked on lateral flow prototypes for sexually transmitted infection detection, bringing together target recognition, reagent selection and strip chemistry. The project focused on translating an infectious-disease target into a practical rapid-test format.

Prototype work included evaluating test-line signal, reagent behaviour, assay background and the wider sample workflow.

02 / COVID-19

COVID-19 antigen lateral flow development

Our COVID-19 LFA project brought a rapid antigen test format into the lab for hands-on development and evaluation. The work considered how the strip, sample workflow and readout fit together in a compact testing setup.

This example shows our experience taking an infectious-disease target through the practical stages of lateral flow assay development.

Multiplex lateral flow exploration

Our multiplex LFA work explores how more than one signal can be resolved in a lateral flow format. Fluorescent labels and reader-based measurement make it possible to investigate line separation, signal balance and background as part of the same assay design.

These are research and prototype examples. The final targets, assay layout and performance requirements are defined for each new project.
